Three audiences, one beautifully simple app
Parents see their children. Students see their schedule. Staff see their classroom. Installable from any browser in 10 seconds — no App Store wait, no 30 MB download, no compromise on speed.
A PWA that feels like a native app
The Ketpy mobile app is a progressive web app — which means installing it takes one tap from any browser, and updating it takes zero effort from the user. Parents who hate downloading apps love that the Ketpy 'app' is on their home screen but never asked them to visit the Play Store.
Under the hood, it's the same fast, offline-capable, push-notification-enabled, biometric-secured experience as a native app. Above the hood, it's the most-loved part of our product — 96% of parents in our customer schools open it at least once a week.

What parents actually open the app for
Live bus tracking
See the school bus on a real map updating every 15 seconds. Geofence-based 'bus approaching' push notification. Driver speed + route-deviation alerts.
Two-tap fee payment
Outstanding fees visible on the home tab. UPI, card, net-banking, wallet — pay in 12 seconds. Receipt downloads to phone storage. Auto-receipt email + WhatsApp.
Smart notifications
Absence alerts, fee dues, exam schedule, homework due tomorrow, PTM reminders. Categorised, mute-able, and never spammy. The 'notice board' parents actually read.
Biometric login
Face ID / Touch ID / fingerprint sign-in. No remembered passwords. Switch between children in the family with a single tap.
Offline-first
Already-loaded screens stay viewable without internet. Fee receipts, marks-card, timetable, ID card — all cached for 7 days. Sync on next connection.
Calendar + holidays
School calendar synced to phone calendar (Google + Apple). Holiday lists, event days, exam schedules. The mom-with-kid logistics game-changer.
Gallery + media
Photos of school events, classroom projects, sports day, annual day. Watermarked, downloadable, and respectfully limited to your own child by default.
8 Indian languages
Switch the app language with one tap: Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati. Notifications translate too, not just the UI.
Digital ID card
Tap-to-show digital ID for school entry, transport boarding. QR code that doubles as a library card. The plastic-card factory's worst nightmare.
How a parent actually uses the app
-
7:20
Bus approaching
Push notification: 'Bus is 4 minutes away from Pickup #14.' Parent walks the child to the gate. No more 25-minute waits.
-
8:30
Absence resolved
Child stayed home sick. Mom marks 'Absent — illness' on the app in 5 seconds. Class teacher gets a note. School clinic gets a heads-up. No call needed.
-
10:00
Fee paid
Quarterly fees due. Parent opens app on coffee break, taps Pay, UPI prompt, biometric confirm. Receipt in inbox 3 seconds later. No queue, no half-day off.
-
18:30
Homework + marks
After dinner, parent checks today's diary, tomorrow's homework, last week's quiz score. Asks child about the math test. Family conversation, not surveillance.
Before you decide
Both — we ship to the stores. But you can also install the PWA directly from the browser if you prefer to skip the store. Both versions are functionally identical.
Yes. The PWA runs on any phone with Chrome / Safari released in the last 5 years. We've optimised heavily for entry-level Android, which is the majority of Indian parent phones.
Yes — the app detects the user role on login and shows the relevant interface. Teachers see attendance, marks, homework. Staff see payroll + leave + library. Same install, different UI.
Students from class 5 upward get their own login. Younger children share the parent account. The student view is gamified — attendance streaks, homework completion badges, library reading-time tracking.
Photos of children are visible only to their own parents by default. Class-wide gallery requires opt-in. Location is collected for buses, never for students or parents. We do not sell or share data with third parties — ever.
